This is an oil on canvas made by Paul Cezanne, a post-impressionist painter who made a way between the impressionism and cubism. It was completed in 1895, entitled as 'The Basket of Apples' and is a still life painting which depicts two viewpoints completed as a whole. It has been said as a balance composition of unbalanced parts. One will notice the tilted bottle, the incline of the basket, and the foreshortened images of the bread from the lines of the table cloth. This type of painting has been a bridge between impressionism and cubism.
