This 19C painting by Ghulam 'Ali Khan shows a group of eight men dressed in colourful and traditional Indian and Burmese costumes. The main figure, in the centre of the painting and distinguished by his dress, is said to be the Burmese ambassador to Delhi. Alongisde him are other dignitaries and aids who carry spears and umbrellas. The setting is rural with barren soil and occassional green trees. The Delhi Fort is visible in the distant background.
